Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals unlikely clause he specifically placed in his Cardiff City contract
Solskjaer has now revealed in an interview in his homeland that he had a clause in his contracts both at Cardiff and at Molde that would have allowed him to join United - should they have come calling.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer always had ambitions to manage the Old Trafford side - even when he was at Cardiff City.
The Norwegian has enjoyed a successful return to the club he represented with distinction as a player since his interim appointment in December last year.
His employers Molde allowed him to take the reins at United until the end of the current season, with speculation now growing that he will get the job full time.
Solskjaer has now revealed in an interview in his homeland that he had a clause in his contracts both at Cardiff and at Molde that would have allowed him to join United - should they have come calling.
His tenure in South Wales was a disaster, however. The Bluebirds were relegated with a 17% win rate on his watch. He has opened up on the traumatic period here but his ambitions have always been clear.
Asked if he always thought he would manage United at one point in his career, he told NRK : "Yes!
"Call me naive, call me stupid, call me ambitious, call me whatever you want. But ever since I trained the reserves team (at United) the dream was to become the manager of Manchester United.

"I have to be my own man. But it so happens that Manchester United have a way of playing that suits me well.
"After Cardiff I had to be honest and say I didn’t think this would happen.
"I had seen it as a potential diving board - do well in the Premier League and then Manchester United.
"But when it went as it did in Cardiff I thought 'it's over, I'm done'.
"I made sure to have a small, let’s call it a clause, in my contracts, that said if Manchester United called, they would have to let me go."
Solskjaer left Cardiff just a few games into their season in the second tier following relegtion. He returned to Molde, where his managerial career was rehabilitated, leading them back into Europe and a second-placed finish in last season's Eliteserien.

What was the point in him coming here if his heart was never really in it.
He brought players in that couldn't play in the league we were in .
His tactics were crap for the players we had and totally changed the style half way through a season.
Made subs then brought them off again .
Disaster is the word he was crrap didn't have a clue .
I reckon sir Alex is behind what he is doing at his precious United.i can't see any other reason why he's done so well there we all no he was utter shit here .

Based on his poor performance with us I doubt Doncaster United would of been interested in him
