At least 137 people have been killed and hundreds more injured in explosions at churches and hotels in Sri Lanka, police and hospital sources say.

Be interesting to compare the media coverage this receives with the NZ mosque shootings.

I’m sure their mental health won’t be questioned

Ban all religions in public places like Mosques and Churches and you will stop half of the worlds problems

It is literally people believing in made up stories and killing each other over them.

People will probably believe Harry Potter was real in a few hundred years and worship him

When was the last terrorist attack perpetrated in the name of Christianity?

Brenton Tarrant quoted pope Urban II’s call for crusades: “Let our lives be stronger than death to fight against the enemies of the Christian people.” in his manifesto.

The issue is a lot deeper than that though. Terrorist attacks are committed in the name of many things, not just religion. Some are committed in the name of politics. Does this make all politics bad?

The people though who commit these crimes generally have a lot in common. They're usually lonely, isolated individuals on the fringes of society who are easily manipulated and given a sense of purpose or meaning through their actions.

Tarant was not a Church going Christian, his manifesto started with a Dylan Thomas poem and rambled all over the place.
What you say about the perps tending to be on the fringes of society and easily manipulated is often true, especially western converts to Islam. I watched a thing about the KKK and many of them came across as loners who struggle to fit in as well.
