Blazing Saddles wrote:"a well run club" - my arse!! With their crowds dwindling due to their boring attempt at playing football they have had to offload one of their high earners..........oh dear, the rot is setting in both on and off the pitch for the inbreds!! Hope they enjoy their 2 cup finals against their capital city (with their country's captain) this season as its probably the last time they will ever play us...........all together now.........

We did it years ago and look at the mess we got into! We have a squad of 30+ and Rogers wants 25 which includes 3 keepers. So to me it's good that he is getting rid of the deadwood to free up money for players who can do a job for us. Hopefully Pintado and Butler will be off when they are back from injury as well!
In much the same way as Cardiff got rid of a few players in order to be able to fund the part wages of your new recruits.

All well and good, some noble business sentiments there.
Except, didn't you bring in Kuqi, someone to use your words, "who is costing a lot of money and isn't any good" under your current regime, who loudly profess to be wonderful businessmen? And indeed, Beattie.
We'll gloss over non-payment of rent for the Vetch and your assorted other debts.

If you did your homework you would find out that the likes of Kuqi and Beattie were Sousas panic signings and Rogers has seen enough of these 2 to see that they are not the players he wants and indeed nowhere near good enough. He wants players of Sinclairs calibre and to get these in we have to get rid of the likes of Kuqi, Butler Pintado etc and a few more who won't get near the first team.
This rent business is absolute bollocks. As I stated before revenue from each game be it ospreys and the swans goes towards the rent and the books are in order.
How many millions have you got left to pay turd?

We got lucky (lets be frank)... before The Malaysians came on board we looked doomed.
BUT.... our brand new ground has drawn investors in, mainly because they know we can
fill it. because they know that a Premiership side in Cardiff WILL attract crowds of well
over 30,000, regularly. This is why they are chasing quotes for the extra 8000 seats to
be installed.
Swansea QUITE OBVIOUSLY HAVE BEEN LIVING BEYOND THEIR MEANS. Not to the extent
that Cardiff City were under the last couple of Chairmen/owners. But your debt is actually
more serious, because you have NO WAY of raising extra income. Even with Premiership
football you'd struggle to average more than about 15,000. There are over 100,000 people
in Neath and Port Talbot, that is a massively important area for Swansea, the ONLY densely
populated areas in Wales outside of Swansea where you could reasonably expect everyone
to follow the jacks. They dont, large numbers support Cardiff, always have always will. So
you have NOTHING to offer investors. Swansea ARE in debt, and we're not just talking pennies
here. But they have done pretty well in keeping those debts under wraps. The confidence of
creditors would sink rapidly once the Cat is out of the bag. But your rapidly approaching some
very choppy water. Same as we did. But the new ground and the POTENTIAL of the clubs support
has got us investors we couldnt really have dreamed of.
Within two seasons, you will be relegated. Any money coming into Wales and Welsh football from
now on wont get past junction 33 of the M4. You know it, I know it. Everybody knows it.
We were MASSIVELY in the shit. Not any more. Paradoxically, the bigger we get, the smaller
Swansea City will get from now on. Give it ten years and you'll have gone the way of Newport

rogers is getting rid of sousa's shit.
but swansea or the ospreys are not paying any rent, there is any agreement in place that if the crowd is above a certain level then they pay rent. i can't remember the figure of the crowd but i think it is 16,000.
they owe neath port talbot council £4.2m, which they want back.
they have a loan of £2m with a company which has to be repaid.
they owe the police £140,000 and counting, if they do not pay it they cannot play at the liability.
they have other day to day debts which are not being paid on time.
they owe the hmrc (like us). they are currently operating on 1 months arrears at any given time.
but according to Huw (i run my club properly) Jenkins they are debt free.
the only thing the jerks are doing right is not paying stupid transfer fees and wages.
