Cardiff offered £300,000

Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:53 am

Derby are ‘actively trying’ to secure a permanent transfer for Ebou Adams and have offered £300,000.

Adams was quizzed on a possible permanent move, Adams said, “The fans have said it all”. This was in response to chants calling for Adams to sign permanently at The Rams.

Adams aged 28 was a free transfer from Forest Green Rovers in 2022.

£1million minimum I would say for a player they obviously want

Let’s see how this pans out, and how good the transfer comitee’s negotiating skills are

He has done well up here so this is no surprise to me.

I would let him go.

Got to be at least £500k.

I think there is a good player in there somewhere, never had much chance of regular game time for us

For a player that we deem as not good enough. I’d say £500k tops. Maybe 300 up front and another 200 after a certain number of appearances.

Plus a sell on fee

He isn't in our plans clearly so I'd take the 300k

Best case scenario, yes.

He'd be good cover for 6 and 8 at least, I feel he's more athletic and pacey than the central midfielders we currently have. We just didn't see enough if him to judge his ability. Plus he was coming back from a long lay off so far from his best.

For a measly 300k I'd prefer to welcome him back for pre-season. Suppose he's gotta want to come back though

Wasn’t his best game for us CB in the cup against Birmingham.

It’s not just the £300k we’re turning down but it’s another wage that would be off the wage bill.

Take it. Never good enough for a play off challenging team if that's what we aspire to be. We need to raise our expectations of the quality of player we have. We've got too used to excepting players like Adams, Romeo, Sawyers, Ojo, Rinhomota etc. They are not good enough.

Agree, either he comes back or Derby pay more

For the first time in ages we hold the cards here, Derby want him we don’t have to sell..over to the the illustrious transfer committee to get a bigger fee

Worth more, but not a lot more. I can't help thinking if this were the Jack's selling him, they'd ask for £2M ... and get as near as dammit!

I'd say £650k....

Take it. He's surplus

£300k up on FFP or whatever they are calling it now to help Citeh is a steal. Bulut will never trust him on the ball, I thought he saw him as Centre half cover

Derby not even considered an offer according to their end. Silly season already here, although i would say he will go and for about that sum but at the moment all agent speak.

??

Derby are already making moves for him, that’s come from their end. Multiple reliable sources say so.

I say take the money and run. Not going to in ahead of Siopis, Ralls, Turnbull etc.

Agreed. Free transfer in, £300k is decent. A quick win.
