Hull and burnley are bigger than swansea. Funny they all have one thing in common no one wants to live there. The three places are poor shocking dirty looking towns

Swansea don't owe the council any rent money.

The reason the council haven't received any rent is that the agreement they have with the stadium management company is that rent over and above the peppercorn rent is only payable if the stadium makes a profit. It doesn't therefore no additional rent has to be paid to the council.

Not a bad arrangement the the rugby and football clubs really,

Swansea is as big as Cardiff in terms as size of of its City (Not town!)

no it isnt

the population of cardiff ( city ) is greater than the population of swansea ( city )

swansea is about 3 times the size of burnley

indeed it does

considering the size of the population we should be easily competing in the premier league

the fact that we are not is as much a pointer to the poor support we get from so called cardiff supporters ( there for the cup final...vanish again for 20 years ) as it is to financial mismanagement

lets be honest here, we are in a right bloody mess

and instead of taking it on the chin, we still cant resist trying to bite back at the jacks

we dont half make ourselves look stupid sometimes , the jacks owe a few quid here and there ...and that can be easily solved by selling players

we, on the other hand , owe millions all over the shop and even if we sell players have a squad of players on high money ( far higher than we can afford ) and a load of over paid employees behind the scenes who are bleeding the club dry

I hate the jacks but lets be sensible

They owe back rent from the Vetch. Many council members in jackland are highly dubious that no profit has been made.

Yes, let's be sensible.

Jack first team squad of around 35. Sousa wants a squad of 25, meaning 10 need to be offloaded. Except that hasn't been happening. Trundle sale saved them from a loss, so too the Scotland/martinez "sale" to Wigan.

Which players precisely will they sell, hmm? Rangel? Last year of contract, out of form, wants out. Britton? Ha!

Let's be sensible. They are picking a fight with the police. Did that work for Wigan?

The Jacks, financially, are in a better state than us. It's hardly a panacea, just slightly less shit than us. It's sensible to actually point that out.

the jacks are in NOWHERE NEAR the same amount of debt liability and unsustained outgoings we are in

nowhere near

they are doing what most championship clubs do....make a loss, sell a player, build things up, make a loss etc

its manageable

where as we ?

spent massively to get here ...sam spent millions we didnt have

then once we got here spend higher again

and even when he went, keep being silly over spending

our situation is a million ( quite literally ) times more serious than swanseas

it makes us look daft trying to get one over on those tramps on the proper running of a football club

Bollocks you are a small championship club not average, your crowds are crap when you are doing well, it's all downhill for you lot now and this is as big as it can ever be for you !!!

I'm of the belief that I hate English clubs more than a fellow Welsh club but you are punching above your weight in the championship.

That's not a piss take either swan...

we dont want or need billionaire investment though  you need it desperately

we're happy in our skin whereas you dont know what you are at the moment

we know we're an average sized club doing rather well at the moment, and thats because we lives to our means and dont try to be something we're not...like you do :ayatollah:

Its obvious really...the stadium hasnt made a profit because the tenants havent paid their rent.

Thank you for actually reading posts.

Is our immediate situation far worse? Sure. Long term, no. Not in the slightest. IF we get through this, we can be in a pretty good situation, if the debts are cleared.

The Jacks aren't close to filling their stadium regularly. Income is split. Money owed to council, lots of their players are on Div 1 wages.Guess what'll happen at contract negotiations, eh?

Now, you refer to the Jacks selling players - who exactly? Trundle? Scotland? Martinez? They've been UNABLE to offload players, which is why they are carrying at least ten more players than Sousa wants. Funnily enough, those players are taking money out of the Jacks.

I realise it seems to upset you Sludge, but the fact remains this is a board for discussing FOOTBALL, unlike CCMB which you are used to. Now, a Jack has repeatedly come here fishing for a reaction. Sure, some have fallen for it; others have responded calmly with facts about the Jacks. If comments on this thread, which for the most part are civil upset you so much, well, the option to ignore the thread is there. There have been numerous threads about the shit we are in, that doesn't necessarily need to be repeated ad nauseum.

thanks nerd

I am afraid that rather than face reality a lot of our fans still try to get one over on the jacks

which , given our position, is a little silly

we have , for years , been running at huge losses and our historical debt is around our necks like a tyre

we used to have this sort of mentality when sam was around
