Portsmouth cannot select him in the match day squad because it will trigger a contract extension at his current PL rate, Portsmouth have told him he has to accept a pay cut before they select him again and he has said no.
Portsmouth are therefore looking to offload him as quickly as possible.

because if he plays 1 more game he will have to have an automatic pay rise and they dont want to do that

He wont play for Pompey again mate, as if he ever makes one more appearance, he gets an increase in wages or some bonus - that Pompey cant afford.
Thats why he's being offloaded. Cotterril stated the other week that the player was willing to have that clause written out of his contract.... but legally it couldnt happen between the club and his agent.
Thats what I gather anyway.
So he's 100% available.

Its looking likely.
Just at the point when Oli has completely lost form as well.
Where does this leave Drinkwater though. 3rd choice for the defensive midfield role ??

i don't the he defensive mid to be honest mind you when he does play i don't no where he plays to be honest he all over the shop when he plays haha
