Any news of a defensive midfielder coming in to take the pressure of the defence? Granted we need a centre back and possibly left back but we also need to stop the opposition walking through our midfield.

I reckon Jay going to Newcastle with Leon Best or possibly Joey Barton or maybe Danny Guthrie as the make-weight.
Then again he could be off to Sunderland but don't know who we'd have off those, maybe Titus Bramble???

Wont be Burke , he said 2 days ago he wants to stay.

Jay Bothroyd spoke with Newcastle and there was an offer made, which was part cash and involved a player heading South, Nile Ranger. City, turned the deal down and have yet to receive a bid that they deem acceptable for Jay.

Implies not Jay leaving as had no acceptable offer, where as seems like done deal for somebody else

Hopefully it is burke for conway, and not bothroyd for a sunderland player???

Burke is out of contract and there will prob be a small transfer fee involved.... burke hasnt been the same player this year and i think is missing his kid in scotland and the performances as showed this.

I think you have got it there though I don't really want Burke to go. But with his contract up in the summer I can see him go. Rae's time is up for certain.

Glad to hear that the meetings between Sam and TG have been going well, let’s hope a deal is struck quickly so we can put the whole matter behind us.

Great work Carl, your liasing with the club is becoming ever stronger, and obviously a good link between club officials and fans. That can only be a good thing! Carl with regard to the pitch, obviously we can't afford the lights, however do you know if the club has explored the possibility of using the millennium stadium's pitch lights? I would of thought Gethin would have a few contacts there and they can't be using them everyday. I know Wembley had a similar arrangment to borrow the pitch lights from Arsenal so it's not an unworkable idea.

Anywhere in the SPL would be a backstep for him... as he could have a crack at the prem with us. However, family comes 1st.
