Interesting question. No, No and thrice No. If folk want to learn and speak an obscure yet ancient, quaint and reasonably easy to learn language then fine, fill yer boots. I'm trying to learn Danish and Russian but srtuggling so more or less given up.

My problem with Welsh is that I was "force fed" it primary school which put me off learning languages. Then I get to Comprehensive Education and the cunts want me to learn French, why? The only other choice was german so i went for that. In true socialist fashion they dropped me from top stream to bottom stream not that I gave a shit but thats me. I wasn't the only one caught up in this socialist bollocks and I whilst came out "singing and dancing" some others were'nt so lucky.

If this a serious study then I can give you chapter and verse on the "adverse affects of forcing language studies on children", one of my colleagues wrote it! I think it was his PhD.
