Chopra dropped - THAT is our manager in a nutshell!!

Wed Feb 02, 2011 7:59 pm

Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd are the best forward pairing in this
division bar none! With Craig Bellamy out left and Burke or Thomas
on the right there is not a side in this league can even come close to
us.

Chopra has been dropped earlier this season, looked a bit chunky to
be fair. Did he sulk? Nah.. he came back all guns blazing, worked his
socks off, started to link well with Jay yet again and is a PROVEN big
match player.

So Jones drops him again, and tries a lad who is a RENOWNED wide
player up top.

Meanwhile, Lee Naylor seems to be untouchable even though the whole
of this division know he's there for the taking. Please dont boo Naylor
fellers. He does his best, its just not good enough, and we can all see
it. So can Lee probably!!

Never has the Clubs lack of a 'football man' at the top been exposed so
publicly. There is nobody to pull Jones up on his atrocious decisions. We
already know he holds the fans in contempt, i have a feeling he holds the
whole f*cking Club in contempt too.

Wanker!!

Agree completely, Jay and chops is the best pairing in the Championship, any other manager would have picked him. :ayatollah:

Does Chopra score enough? For a striker who cost £3m and earns £20K p/w his scoring record is a bit erratic. A couple of weeks ago there was an article in the Football League paper where the reporter said he felt cheated everytime he watched Cardiff because the division's best player (Craig Bellamy) is stuck out on the wing instead of playing up front.

I came around to agreeing with him. Bellamy has looked far more clinical in front of goal than Chopra this season and seems to take most of his chances when presented, unlike Chops who seems to need 5 chances to every goal.

My opinion but I sometimes think we view Chopra through blue tinted glasses.

Dropped or rested? maybe DJ has some passion for Sunday and wants the big guns on top form. I know I know, but it's possible!!!

I certainly dont view Chops through rose-tinted glasses. When he's playing badly
I say so. He has been brilliant these last few weeks. Chasing defenders down
making runs, dragging defenders out and making space for Jay. As long as he
is playing well, and the team is winning.. the goals WILL come. He is a player who
scores in bursts (thats why hes not a premiership star)

The reporter who says he felt cheated cos Bellamy aint up front is talking shite. Craig
does not have the same instincts as Chopra or other goalscorers for hanging on the
last defender, predicting where the ball is going to land, or in fact for clinical finishing.
Craig is a multi-millionaire WINGER. He's not a box player

Half the board would have sold Chopra a few weeks because he was apparently a bit chubby, again DJ can't win.
