Question for Gwyn or Carl

Wed Feb 23, 2011 3:40 pm

I am not sure who is on various committees who meet with the club but someone told me that you guys might be. Would it be possible that someone can raise the issue of problems getting out of the car parks. It seems to take an eternity to exit after a match and this sometimes takes up to an hour.
This problem would be far worse if we got into the premiership and would cause serious problems. Already I have witnessed people leaving the ground early just so they don't get caught in the traffic and I must be honest it is one of the downsides when coming to support the team.
I am not sure what measures could be put in place but as a suggestion, I would ask if the club could contact the council and enquire if the traffic lights can be altered for say half an hour around exit time to give priority to fans leaving the ground.Alternatively and looking longer term, would there be a possibility to have another exit made which could also alleviate this problem.

It drives me nuts as well fella, I am one of those that people moan about for leaving early. I sit right at the back of the family stand,if I stay till the final whistle it takes a good ten minutes to get down to the exit and up to 45 more sometimes too get out of the car park.
If I can leave 3 minutes before the whistle I can get to my car and home to Trelewis in under 20 minutes don't tell the police) So my choice is miss 3 minutes and get home in twenty, or watch the last 3 minutes and get home well over an hour and twenty minutes later.

They got to do something but these are things the Trust should have been jumping on from the word go, I will speak to people I know at the club but I,m not an official of any group, just a friend of some people still there, but it needs sorting for common sense sake.

its f*cking stewards causing the queues, they hold back all the traffic until the away fans are on the coaches and escorted out.....f*cking stupid, let the people filter through and just let the coaches out when they are ready!

I think its more to do with protecting home fans walking through the car park.

Cheers Gwyn.If you think its bad now, can you imagine how bad it would be if we found ourselves in the premiership with extra stadium capacity. In my opinion it would then take over an hour to get out which would be riddiculous.Surely the council can alter the lights to give prefrence to the stadium at the end of a game for say 30mins which would allow us to get out in a reasonable time. The lights are the obvious bottleneck and I am sure that this can be sorted as a cheap option compared to construction of another exit. If you can mention it to anyone who can raise it with the trust then I would be most grateful.
