My Hull Ratings

Just got back after the rest of the weekend in Leeds.

HEATON - 8 - One great save and collected the ball on a few occasions, looked assured and another clean sheet.

QUINN - 7 - Unreliable Quinn has turned into reliable since he came back into the team, another solid performance.

KEV - 9 - MOM. 2 "last man" goal saving challenges. Kev has gone from having an average season to being our top performer since he moved to LB. Another great performance topped off by an assist for the opener.

HUDSON - 6.5 - Contributed to another clean sheet, but by recent standards this wasnt his best performance. Didnt win the ball all that much like he usually does, but was solid enough in the air. He did look after McLean and Simpson pretty well.

KEINAN - 7.5 - Love this guy, great signing. Solid in the air, good distribution, kepty Fryatt pretty quiet and was unlucky not to score.

McPHAIL - 6.5 - Im a Macca fan but picked up several knocks throughout the game which hindered him. However, he took it upon himself to get stuck in and give Rambo a platform to play on.

RAMSEY - 8 - Wow. Involved in everything, nearly played in Chopra early with a dreamy ball that belonged in the EPL. Great feet, a few flicks and tricks, great passing, involved in build up to both goals. If we could keep Rambo till the end of the year, promotion would be highly likely. But if he never comes back, thank you so much to him and Wenger, Rambo has a massive future ahead of him.

WHITTINGHAM - 7 - As we couldnt get the ball in the first 15 mins, Whitts come inside into a 5 man midfield where he really picked it up. Was solid, passed it easy to allow Rambo to push on and even won quite a few headers in our box and in midfield.

BELLAMY - 6.5 - Tough game being doubled up against (Harper and Rosenior). Hull did a job on him but he still has that something special and if Chopra's 1st half effort hadnt been blocked on the line, we would be saying "what a pass by Bellamy". Grew into the game and involved in opener, but as soon as Bellamy started getting the ball, Hull sent on Barmby to wind him up - it worked to some extent. Good sub by DJ.

BOTHROYD - 7 - Worked hard with some good quality. Did not dive for the penalty appeal - this one was a stonewaller. Come under some harsh critisism by Hull fans, but thats his rep now. Had the last laugh by waving to all 3 of Hull supporter stands when they were leaving after JET scored. JayB may not be at his best atm, but even though he hasnt scored in 5, in those 5 games, he has 4 assists. They are just as important.

CHOPRA - 8 - Unlucky in 1st half with Gerrard clearing off the line. Was moved outwide when we went 5 in midfield and he worked his socks off. Great goal, typical Chopra.

SUBS

BURKE - 6 - No time to make much of an impact, the guy needs a goal for some confidence.

JET - 7 - Too used to Arsenal and trying to walk the ball into the net but gave us fresh legs and real direct. Great goal too, watch him build from here, the guy has real quality.

My verdict overall was that was one of the best performances of the season. Hull were in great form - bettered only by QPR. We played a solid game but never looked happy with a point and always posed a threat. A Hull fan on the train said we were the best team to go the KC this season. GREAT WIN.
