STEVE BORLEY

Wed Jan 20, 2010 6:33 pm

Steve praised OUR SUPPORTERS for the Atmosphere last night.
He has just rung me and is Shocked like We are to find that The Club have Closed Sections of THE NINIAN STAND.
I believe he was Genuinely Shocked.

I have now rang the man himself Wayne Nash who has Closed the Sections, waiting for him to come back to me.

As I posted in the other thread -

I don't know Nash, so don't know what his feelings are.

BUT

Isn't there a chance that it's not his fault? If the club have been told that unless the fans sit down, we'll be fined, or have the capacity cut, he's got to be seen to be doing something to try and make it happen. It's his job. He might not like it any more than we do.

Don't the board have control over Nash? Seeing as they probably hired him? So they could tell him to reopen those blocks if they knew nothing about it, or am I totally wrong?

Annis, I am not familiar with the state of play at CCFC on this. Isn't this an item on the Cardiff City Supporters Trust agenda?

Linked to this, the Football Supporters' Federation have a campaign and I understand that some clubs are now supporting the Safe Standing campaigns of the FSF and their own supporters trusts.

It seems reasonable to conclude that the situation is only likely to change if the Club and fans work together to resolve things.

Yes we need to work together, but our club seems to always do the opposite.
