OI, that's an insult... they are Angles and Saxons, so they are EAST-Germans who got kicked out of here by the rest...
Some Saxons still occupie an area in the former GDR, the tale goes that the Saxons got chased through Germany by the Bavarians from the South. Their road split into two ways with a sign "LONDON" (turn left) and "LEIPZIG" (turn right)...
...and guess what, the ones who could read turned right...
