Merthyr Town need just one point to be crowned Western League Division One champions.
They are 'home' this Saturday to Gillingham Town. There is a discounted admission price for Cardiff City season ticket holders at just £6.
Should Merthyr get the point, the trophy will be presented after the game. Why not come along and witness history.
Before the game I will be in the Ex-Servicemens club from around 1pm for if anyone wants to have a pre-match drink with me and Nips

In a seperate event. Cardiff City fan Ryan March will be playing a set in the Mountain Ash Inn (Lakeys pub). It will start at 8pm and there is no admission price. Ryan writes his own music but also throws in some covers. Check out his stuff on the links below.

If anyone decides to go to both, trains do run from Taffs Well to Aberdare, the pub is just a 2 minute walk from Aberdare station.

Got to say well done to merthyr town fc on a brilliant season and gaining promotion in their first season in the unknown at that level, well done to them the players management staff fans everyone its a remarkable achievement to do that at the first time of asking and only this time last year not knowing whether there would be a club to support this season!

I think it was a blessing in disguise with the old merthyr going into liquidation and folding because they seemed to be going from 1 disaster to another, you got to take a step back sometimes to take a few forward
