I used to scout for a former Prem League team and I can tell you he was off everyone's radar screen until a Newport based Wurzel City scout saw him play for his school purely by chance. The Wurzel's only signed him onto an academy contract when the club I represented fannied about and made a hash of trying to nip in and sign him themselves. To my absolute knowledge City never even knew about him.
