It will ultimately cost you in those crucial final minutes of a game.
Any football team that manages to get its players to abstain during the season is
(1) likely to win the league
(2) a bloody marvel
Athletes who have to count on their individual performance rather than hide in a team do not drink; athletics, swimming, biking etc.
Drinking is frowned upon a lot more in the US which creates an easier culture here for abstinence in sport. Less peer pressure.

Why do we all know that? What about an athlete in any sport who struggles to sleep
a week or so before a big game. So he/she may have a tot of rum or summat to take
the edge off. Are they better off doing that or losing 2-3 hours sleep a night cos of
nerves! Who gives a f**k what America thinks?
America thinks the whole world should follow their lead period.
America is the reason the world is in so much turmoil in Iraq and Afghanistan today.
They may have nicer teeth than us but they are truly the thickest bastards in the world
to swallow the crap they get from Bush/Bush/Obama etc
Gimme a beer any day
