Having said that I spoke to someone last night who is a member of a county association of the FA and he told me that the grapevine is saying that QPR have put forward in their written responce to the charges a reasonable defence and the FA are concerned the IRC may actually throw out a few of these charges.

If thats the case then maybe a guilty verdict on a couple of charges may see them only receive a fine as punishment.

May answer some of you're questions Merlin my little cherub :D

Its nice to see that your neutral to newspaper reports, and dissect them to show how useless their reports are, well in the above post by castleblue, (whom is VERY clued up on these kind of things) he is only quoting a story of a friend and what he's heard just like you have ?

He Also says that he thinks the FA are worried the IRC MAY throw out a couple of charges.... I. Can't see that though!

It is of my opinion that your f**ked tho pal, just feel sorry for the fans and players...

Re: The Sun: QPR Promotion set to be Blocked

One thing that discredits this article in the SUN is this point of messing up the playoff process because of any possible appeal as it is clear Shaun Custis has absolutely no idea of the appeals process.

Also despite every "Legal Avenue" Sheffield Utd went down they were met by a dead end and what happened they were relegated and West Ham Utd remained in the PL. The financial agreement on compensation took years and had absolutely no effect on the make up of the PL or the Championship the next season.

If QPR are found guilty and if they decide to appeal any punishment it can only be done on "New" evidence which was not available at the time of theoriginal hearing (Which in this case was a couple of days before they were informed of the punishment) or they can appeal because the punishment was to severe. No other option is available and the decision of the appeal panel is binding so there is no way it will go on for months.

I have maintained all along that if QPR are found guilty of these charges they can expect severe penalities which would IMO and experience place them not only outside the automatic promotion places but outside the playoff places. Is that fair on the Manager, Team and Fans of QPR absolutely not but this is Football and the National Association will not allow a club to gain when they have been found guilty of serious breaches of FA Regulations.

Right now QPR are innocent of all charges against them the FA for their part believe they have the evidence to back up the charges issued and QPR have indicated they will defend their position.

No one really knows who will win the day but one thing is certain todays stories in the press are just the foreplay to the coverage this story will get next week. Expect blanket wall to wall coverage and loads more speculation regarding point deduction. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Think you misunderstood my point Leyton.

Taffy was saying we are farking cheats etc etc

Then made a statement as if its all been done & dusted. All I'm simply saying is innocent until proven guilty.

I've heard we've gone guilty on 1 charge. No one is in a position to know what kind of punishment that deserves as we don't know a thing about it.

Taffys a very good poster but I feel many are not giving QPR the benefit of the doubt before the hearing has even sat.

Shaun Custis the reporter seems to backtracking a little on his twitter.

'I'm saying that FA officials are convinced QPR have broken rules and that they COULD be done up to 15 points'

Ffs I COULD be an international porn star if I had a 15 inch schlong!!

So people aren't too confused here is why QPR are in serious problems....

West Ham were "fined" because they did not disclose the details about the third party ownership of Carlos Tevez to the FA. There wasnt a rule against third part ownership at the time.

Since then The FA have BANNED third party Ownership of a player

QPR were involved in third party ownership of Faulin AND they did not disclose details of this to the FA so therefor are in a far worse position that West Ham were.

I can't simplify it any clearer than that but Faulin has been a key player for QPR this season and has been there all season. They really are in trouble here but my worry is that this is going to be dragged out all summer and really affect teams.

How can it be dragged out all summer! The FA/IRC appeal process times don't allow it to. ;)

No misunderstanding Stan, you state "It is amazing though how you & many others on here already know we are guilty before the hearing has even sat down" when you use words like "amazing" it implies that you feel that many are jumping the gun in their judgement on QPR, yet you now concede that QPR are at least guilty of one charge! the first time I have heard you say that by the way! So how can you accuse people of passing judgement on firstly if QPR are guilty and more so how far that guilt stretches to, when you yourself know that they are guilty. As said mate, it's a bit rich

This is the whole problem you have mate. QPR Football Club per se are not 'cheating
faking bastards' it is a famous old club with a long history. The fans have stuck by the club
through thick and thin, QPR are a well-respected club. HOWEVER, people like Briatorre
with his race-fixing scandals, Paladini etc are at best... erm.. dodgy. At worst they are
crooks. It lowers the tone for the rest of you. Thats my point. We had Peter Ridsdale here
for years. If the Police had raided the ground and dug up priceless religious artifacts stolen
from a childrens Cancer Charity raffle nobody would have batted an eyelid, Ridsdale was
poison. Its the very people you want away from your club who have dropped it right in the
shit. We got lucky, the liars and the cheats are gone from here now, finally. Sadly there is
every chance that your ones are going to end up costing you dearly

Re: The Sun: QPR Promotion set to be Blocked

I can't disagree with much of that taffy.

Btw leyton I've never said once we are innocent so you are wrong there friend. All I've said all along is that I believe we will only get a fine. I mentioned 3 points max yesterday as that again is a personal opinion & a guess as to the punishment should we get a deduction for the 1 charge we are apparently guilty of.

Hope that clears things up.

On the other hand talking of Mr Custis's shitty article this makes a good read & again just shows you how incompetant Mr Custis's article reall is.

Re: The Sun: QPR Promotion set to be Blocked

Fri Apr 29, 2011 12:21 pm

Another thing I have found interesting about this whole thing as we approach the hearing date is that following on from the article in the Sun SSN have been running a report on the "15 Point Deduction" you know will it happen or not. No real substance to anything they are reporting a bit like the Sun article and the contents of messageboards up and down the land.

However Brian Swanson on SKY bless him has been trying to get quotes from the FA, FL and QPR the FA have maintained the same position from day 1 which is we will make no further comment at this time, the FL are saying they will make no comment until the IRC hearing is complete and QPR have been saying they intend to defend the club against all charges and deny any deliberate wrong doing.

But this morning from the story in the Sun QPR have issued a statement basically saying they will make no comment on the article or the hearing in line with the agreement they have with the FA. Where does this leave the interview given by Warnock to the BBC last week?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13164324.stm

It's very clever he talks about speaking to independent people outside the club, this means Barrister who will represent QPR, and after the chat he has no concerns. Asked if he is confident they will not be docked points he does day you never know what with these hearings but says again after his chat to the independent barrister he has no concerns.

What was the purpose of this interview to convince his players there is nothing to worry about, to convince QPR fans there is nothing to worry about, to use the media to get good PR for QPR by making a public statement that an independent barrister thinks the club has nothing to worry about.

I just find it interesting that when the club makes a statement saying it will be making no comment because of an agreement with the FA that they allow an official of the club to effectively issue a no worries statement to the media.

Is this a merely a product of the clubs PR machine intended to put the club in a positive light in the media, or is this mornings revelation that there is an agreement with the FA to make no comment on the matter a product of the FA telling the club to make sure it's official i.e. Neil Warnock shuts the f**k up with the comments.

Interesting stuff :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

If you look closely at the article the headline is a definate statement " GUILTY " but when you read it it talks about FA sources believe me if they had spoken to anyone at the FA it would say informed sources.

But for me what shows it to be a typical piece of shite Sun sensationalist journalism is this "In theory they should begin with a blank piece of paper" Utter Bollocks

Anyone with any knowledge of this process will know that ALL parties have every piece of evidence which will be used by the FA to prove the breach of regulations or by QPR to prove there has been no breach of regulations.

Maybe the guy is trying to say it is difficult to keep an open mind about this process and that should be an absolute condition of being a member of the IRC You Must Not Prejudge The Issue, although you would have had ALL the documentation to look over prior to the hearing date you must approach it with an clear open mind.

Mr Custis by his headline alone has prejudged the issue and that his wrong as nothing he says in the article speaks of any fact or authority to conclude the club are guilty and will be deducted points. Any punishment will not be decided by the FA but by the members of the IRC and IF the club are found guilty then the blank piece of paper comes in because for these alledged offences there is no past precedent, apart from the unlicensed agent and Luton Town points deduction.

Until next Friday we are all free to speculate like Mr Custis has here but IMO IF the club are found guilty there will be severe penalities attached.

Just my opinion though. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
