o/t - Neil Lennon could've been a Ger!

Sun May 08, 2011 9:27 pm

I never knew this; Neil Lennon had a trial at Rangers when he was young, and was even invited over to join them. Even had his photo taken in Ibrox as a nipper :D

Oh how different it all could have been

Not saying its right or wrong.....but he wouldn't have lasted long at Ibrox. Just like Paul Le Guen.

I dont think the fans would have taken to him, for obvious reasons.

Why ? because a large proportion of Rangers fans still have a major hang up about signing British or Irish catholics ?

Whatever Celtic's faults (and there are many) their policy has always been ecumenical. Look at some of the biggest heroes of Parkhead over the past 50 years; lots of them were protestant like Jock Stein, Bertie Peacock, Dalglish & Danny McGrain.

I'm not catholic myself and tbh have little time for any religion but I've always hated Rangers with a passion for discriminating on sectarian lines. A truly horrible club.

Yes, you are correct.

Sectarianism is out of order - but its not a one-way street and is rife at both clubs.

O/T but celtic even covered up paedophilia within its club - now THAT is a truly horrible club.
