Tim, I looked at teams that had visited Reading This Season 80% of them have had approx Over 1,800 going there, We took on a Wednesday night in the League about 3,300 :D :ayatollah:

Yet Teams going to Burnley take over 1,300 (at a Guess), We Took Just over 3,000 :D :ayatollah:

It seems Teams Dont Bring Many to us either, they generally go places around London or in London.

i think theres still a lot of people in the country afraid to come to us because of our reputation.

i wish they would wake up and realise that you wont have trouble in cardiff these days unless you look for it.

Its a long trip for fans from up North. If they are going to pick and choose games they will do the North and Midland ones.

Similar for the London clubs, easy to do 6-8 aways without travelling far.

Even for fans in the Midlands - from Coventry, Leicester, Derby and Forest its easier to get to the South Yorks clubs, Sheffield, Donny, barnsley than it is to get to Cardiff.

Cheers Tim,

Quite impressed with the Palace attendance. midweek game, horrible place to get to, horrible ground.
Norwich was a strange visit. I walked through the City, through their village area and only then saw Cardiff fans at the entrance. Up to then I felt an alien.
Boro was a nasty trip. It was when we had the bad snow, Middlesborough was the last place to still have it all. Terrible area to have a football stadium as well.
Scunny was my best trip, really enjoy going there and will miss them next season. Also enjoyed the Leeds trip, first one of the season on the forum bus.

It would actually be interesting to see what kind of away support clubs took to Millwall and Leeds as our reputations are all as bad as each other

Is it fair to say that we only took 3000+ to Burnley as it was last game and the same applies to Preston? Usually it would be much less than that for those 2 trips.

So it all depends on when the fixtures are played ie midweek or saturdays.

Plus how far is it for northern clubs to go their neighbours, and London, east midlands as well etc- City have always to travel miles more.

Leeds also of course as they keep on telling us is the biggest supported club in the world so most of their away followings are local to where they play their away games

If someone had the information, they could do a survey on how many miles to each ground and the day of the week and stage of the season.

That would be a more realistic analysis.

Please mote that the QPR support was severely hindered as this was the Saturday before Christmas when it snowed, snowed and snowed! Took me seven hours to get back home for a journey that usually takes two!
