Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 7:02 am

Sometimes I forget why this forum is called Cardiff City Forum. Your fans? If so support this awesome club!

Support doesn't mean 24/7 slagging off of the manager. Sure, Dave Jones has his faults, but you would not believe how disconcerting it is to look on as a relative outside and see those sorts of messages. Instead of starting yet another poll on whether he should be sacked due to his incompetence, start a thread praising his work on bring Cardiff from low championship to playoff contenders on a huge budget.
What you are doing is not clever, you are simply hurting the football club in the process. I hope your proud of yourselves; because to me you are just acting like whiny 12 year olds.

Players get so much flak of you to. Why are you like that? It must be very psychologically demanding to be a player, and knowing that the fans haven't the confidence in you. If it hadn't been for this forums treatment of several players we might have been in the automatic zone now due to less points wasted by mistakes.
Why are you having a go at Bothroyd, in January you were singing his praises; his service was required for promotion you all claimed. Hudson, a favourite now. In January you all despised him. Form is temporary, and your giving slack to players who aren't doing well will increase their bad form. Look at Naylor for a great example.

If you truly support this club, why is there so much negativity surrounding the place "To be honest I don't think Cardiff will win that", "Reading might just clinch the title". Yay, all very helpful comments I'm sure.

Look guys, you complain the club has no respect for the fans. The fans have no respect for the club, and until you starting respecting all at the club, Jenkins to Naylor to Jones; that rift will not be healed.

So lets support Cardiff then, eh? :ayatollah:

Um....why should we support the players after they've spent their free time this season getting pissed? 2 days before a huge game and they were getting legless.

And Dave Jones.....he's had a large budget to work on since he got here. 6 years of bottling we've had under him. We're the laughing stock of the league because of him. No passion, no plan b, no authority, NO IDEA!

So why the hell should we support them?? What exactly have they done to warrant our support?

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 7:14 am

maybe then, and just maybe,
he should spend less time on here worrying what the fans think
and more time with watching and sorting out what the players do.
no man managment skills whatsoever.

WE HAVE SUPPORTED THEM ALL SEASON and TURNED UP IN OUR THOUSANDS HOME and AWAY, I AM SORRY BUT YOUR POST IN MY OPINION IS A JOKE SURELY.
THE PLAYERS WILL NOW FLY OFF ON ALL THEIR EXPENSIVE HOLIDAYS incl DJ and DONT GIVE A FLYING f**k FOR US FANS.

HOLIDAYS WHICH WERE ALREADY BOOKED FOR THIS MONTH incl JAYS £15,000 HOLIDAY. DO YOU REALLY THINK THEY EARNED THEIR MONEY THIS SEASON ? THEY SPENT MORE TIME ON THE DRINK/GAMBLING THAN TRAINING.

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 7:22 am

Yes, I think they've earned their holidays. They have worked pretty hard this season, probably a lot harder (I'm straying into dangerous territory here xD) than most of you will in your life. Imagine this; your training for the Olympics, and do a 10km run each week. You come fourth/fourth in the Olympics having been first/second for the first 8km. Would you be insulted if people claimed you weren't trying? I know I would.

Just because they got beaten by other clubs does not mean they were trying. Ffs, in my GCSEs I'm an A* kid normally, and sometimes get beaten by E grade students, doesn't mean I'm not trying. IT MEANS THEY ARE TRYING HARDER.

I for one am perfectly happy with the effort put in by the club, and if you are a true fan, so should you. At least one of the players believed that late night drinking to be a team-bonding exercise.

its just a bloody job to them and the sooner some of them f**k off including jones the happier i will be :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

So are you saying that you are happy with mediocrity? Despite them getting paid more than any other players at different clubs.

I think this guy is a WUM. He can't be for real.

difference being, an athlete will train and treat their body like a temple to achieve their personal goal.
the football players were on about had no personal goals other than
topping up their bank account and getting the next pint down.
they are a bunch of selfcentred, Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhh cant even think of a word derogative enough to degrade them to the levels they deserve.

The biggest contradiction ever on this board. You just admitted that other teams have tried harder than ours. For me as a fan that isn't good enough. We need a clearout, starting with the manager. I am going to say it.

JONES OUT :ayatollah:

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 8:21 am

If you knew truth and all truth you would not support manager or many players.

They should have been professional and committed to winning promotion on and off the pitch. Do you think Reading and Swansea player drunk and taking girls to hotels? Do you think they players fighting in casino? Do you think they players asked the club for bodyguard so he could go out drinking without being attacked by stupid people just less than week ago? Do you know two good players are 30% over their fat content levels and have got worse since New Year when most players become fitter? Do you know that one player asked for advance on wages last week to pay off serious debt when his mind should be on Reading game?

If CCFC is to recover we need new manager many new players (our players not loan players) and main investor needs 100% own club because he is only man putting money in now.

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 11:13 am

Was our best squad we've ever had, in the weakest championship for a long time and we blew it. Ridiculous wages paid compared to the majority of teams in this division as well

800k you're having a laugh DJ OUT

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 11:26 am

What makes me angry most is hearing of players getting drunk last night. Not together to help each other get over defeat but in small groups. Everyone is blaming everyone but not themselves.

Bellamy shows heart but supports players who doing very wrong because they are friends. This makes him as bad as them.

If you knew what I knew and I will tell what I can then you will want to to punch many of the players for not doing the best they can to be the best they can for us.

I can not accept people coming asking for new contracts with wages of 30,000 per week (one player wants) when he is overweight, drinking problems and causes splitting in the training floors.

We need new manager but to get that we need the main investors to own CCFC totally because they will not being the only ones to finance next season. That is the guarantee. Without main investors that we have we will not be half of the team now.

We need new players who will train and fight for this club together. We do not have this now.

I DO NOT NEED TO HANG MY HEAD IN SHAME, I've SUPPORTED MY CLUB EVERY YEAR FROM 1972 to NEXT SEASON RENEWING MY SEASON TICKET EVERY SEASON, you keep saying we will meet and you will debate Hmm

NATMAN, PLEASE ANSWER ONE SIMPLE QUESTION WAS THIS A SUCCESSFUL SEASON, YES or NO ?

Well said Forever Blue.

The Club have mentioned you as one of the people they fear will get truth about players at club and I think evertyone knows why.

You should be more involved with our club and community as you are the inspiration for all fans.

The sooner club gets back to having one main investor and manager who controls players then we can move forward. We are not a united club now and go backward because of it.

Why doesn't Forever Blue start a Members Committee to investigate the behaviour of the players and also some of the board. Name the problems and then the problems will go away. it is easy,.

In light of what could be achieved then no I don't think it was a succesful season. Realistically with the players we've got then we should have gone up! Tactically I think Jones has made a few mistakes or baffling decisions but one or two players have let themselves down, mulitple injuries to key positions and collaborative dips in form have all played their part too.

Should Jones stay or go, honestly I'm undecided as I can see the Pro and cons to both sides. I will however hold to the view that I don't think the negativity generated on this board and as you put it 'sniping' at the players, the management and the board of this club during the season will not have helped one bit! Players obviously read this and so do those higher up. I feel sorry for them having to read this and go out to perform with all the comments and personal insults directed at them from this board.

You've said about expressing opinins without name calling, sniping or belittling! and you're right, we should be able to do this. The sad thing is this board has done those exact same things to the players and the people who have need to hold their hands up. We're meant to 'support the boys' but the attitudes generated are doing anything but. It is not showing support but there is a constant attitude of undermining what is being done, this is why I say there is an agenda! The almost immediate mention of Sam by yourself further re-enforced that view for me. To use an analogy its like jumping into bed with someone else while the bed is still warm from the previous.

apologies for not being in touch I've had a lot on my plate, new job, a number of gigs as well as a few other demanding commitments at the moment. I was hoping to might have been at Morgan's bar in Tonypandy for the Scott' Young's Guns event (I was gigging at that too). Seriously not enough hours inthe day for me at the moment!

I know I've planned to meet before games but also had my son with me who usually demands a lot of my attention and with everything else I like to take that time with him as father and son.

Now the season has finished I believe there needs to be a proper and internal review done by the club and players held accountable for gross mis-conduct. This should be handled by the club and the club left to do so in the manner they see fit.

I don't think we should have been slating them before the season had ended. And lets be honest, its been going on before we discovered they had been drinking etc.

ps. check out some of my web-sites. You'll see I don't look (or sound) like DJ! lol

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 2:32 pm

OH DEAR DEAF AND BLIND :o deaf you can not hear what is going on. You seem it is OK for the players to go on the piss before our games. You do not hear of the unrest in the Camp. And you are blind to the fact we have players that don't give a Damn to us the supporters. We are only but a small voice on here so if we are disrespecting the players why oh why are they taking it out on say 22000 others or even more. The truth hurts and can you possibly back say JLS and Bywater, and Bellamy is making the noises that he is fed up of what has gone on within our Club.

Re: Support the boys!

Wed May 18, 2011 5:18 pm

Bellamy screamed at many players after the game. I do not know where but he picked 3 names and screamed at them.

He then stood next to two players who I cannot name and praised them but they were drinking the night before (not 3 nights before) the Middlesborough game. Bellamy has standard for him and his friends but not different standards for others.

Bellamy has a big heart for Cardiff but he brings more negatives than positives because he spoils the TEAM.

Annis NEEDs to be honest. That is what the main shareholders want as the truth needs to be told now by people who can tell it. The truth must be told so the club can be cleaned and main investors given full control or next season we will have more youth players than senior.

Do people honestly think everything is ok when a player asks for a bodyguard from the club so he can go out for a few drinks which will end up being many many drinks? Why can he not drink at home if he is in such need?

What about a player ordering food to be delivered to his home AT HALF TIME during a game. I think they should be thinking of the game, but they are not. We have more talented squad than the Peg Gypsies but they are desperate to be Premier players and to play for their coach. Can you supporters see it? I think sometimes that because I am not British that I don't understand people but sometimes it is impossible to understand stupid logic.

let us start with Parkin and Hudson - hero or zero? I know what I think.

Let us ask what the other people on Board will invest next season. I know the answer.

The time for truth is now. It is best time.
