For example I was brought up with my parents saying to me that if I was ever out of work when I am older they will ensure I'll be working even if it cost them the price of a ladder and a backet of water!!!! If more people in Wales was brought up with that mentality then we wouldn't be demand on the public sector.

I agree too. I kept getting banned from mikes board because a lot of them just abused me and kept on. I made accounts and still got it which eventually wound me up and I went off on one trolling. Then I signed up here and haven't regretted it since as people can take a joke more on here as well as having a serious debate.

I've worked since school and I live by the phrase 'you want something, work for it', even if that means going asking around houses for a bit to do.

The only people who hates us Welsh are the xenophobic English who also hate the Aussies, Italians, Germans, Pakistanis and French. It's not all the English, who in the main are nice people, but we do seem to irritate that certain type of English patriot who seem to think that this small island that we all share should belong exclusively to them. Generations of English have tried to eradicate us, our culture and our language and it grates that after giving it their best shots WE ARE STILL HERE. If we ARE uneducated (by comparison) it comes from decades of starvation of funds for education and has NOTHING to do with the reasons that you give. Sounds like a dig at the other board....and that's not a snipe because I enjoy this one the most.

I was very annoyed when I submitted my original message, for that I apologise. Carl put up some news and within minutes certain people on Mikes board were all over it hence my missive. The problem in Wales is that the language issue clouds things for a lot of people who are wrongly suspicious that if PC are elected in Wales we will all be made to learn Welsh and that if you don't you won't get jobs etc. Sadly, because most people can't be bothered to work things out for themselves scare monger politics always wins the day.
