Unbelievable. Arguably the best striker outside the Prem, our only ever England international, our top scorer, a talented player who several Premoership clubs wish to sign and you want shot of him!

If he was of much lesser ability but ran round all day, getting stuck in, dedicating his life to the cause, being hard as nails à la Jason Perry then he'd be idolised ........ and we'd still be in league 2!

True, and that's where a decent manager and a decent new contract would pay dividends. He was on less than half Chopra's wage. He's a player who needs to be "managed" in every sense of the word and Dave just hasn't been doing it. We all know how he can play so why just tell him to f- ck off when he's not playing to his potential instead of working out why and sorting it out?
