Ten positives for Cardiff after Swansea promotion to the premiership

1. No more under the microscope from the welsh media
2. Less pressure on the team from the nation
3. Less cost for policing coming from our club, our costs will be hidden in South Wales Police budget to cover premiership football at Swansea
4. CARDIFF Airport will benefit, many clubs and supporters fly to away matches in the premiership with a significant amount coming from abroad
5. Vale of Glamorgan hotel on the outskirts of CARDIFF will be favoured by most premiership sides to stay at with its state of the art training facilities, and sedate surroundings it will be just the preparation required to prepare. Already a favourite with Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool from the FA Cup days just a 25 minute coach drive to Swansea, and 15 minutes from the CARDIFF airport I am sure many of the other premiership sides will cotton onto it.
6. CARDIFF has more to offer for fans wanting to stay the weekend than Swansea. In a safe environment (Wind Street in Swansea officially one of the worst places in the UK for Violence on a Friday, and Saturday night) it can cater for all types of supporters. If you are cultured type there are nice places to eat in the café quarter, St Davids 2, or the bay, take in some Ballet in the Millennium Centre, or a show in the New Theatre, plenty of wine bars and coffee shops. If you are away for the weekend with the lads there is St Mary Street, or Greyfriars Road area to have a good time in the pubs and clubs. Many places to visit like the Castle, The welsh national Museum, Shopping in St David 1 & 2 for the missus amongst all the designers shop, plenty of cinemas ten pin bowling for the kids, also Ice Hockey on a Saturday Night is always good entertainment. The visiting supporters will be well looked after as they are playing our local rivals. Only a short bus ride from CARDIFF airport or walk from CARDIFF Central train station CARDIFF is only 40 minutes from Swansea by road, rail or bus. Swansea can’t offer any of the above apart from the Gower or Mumbles which is of no use to anyone unless you are a duck from September to April due to inclement weather.
7. Hotels; CARDIFF boasts several 5 star hotels, and a lot of four start hotels which are reasonably priced during the winter months. Used to staging big events and looking after sports fans CARDIFF can offer first class service unlike the limited hotels available in Swansea.
8. CARDIFF will have yet another average attendance higher than a premiership club
9. CARDIFF will have 2 less police spotters as they will put 2 extra on Swansea thus reducing our costs.
10. CARDIFF and the surrounding area will benefit more economically than Swansea from them being in the premiership as it will almost be certain the first choice for visiting supporters giving the attractions

:-) :-)

Tank missed the bus parade - apparently in Newcastle at the moment - took a wrong turn coming from Wembley. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
