My thoughts exactly. I know the club have said they will not pay high transfer fees, but are willing to pay high wages.
I ask the question, with a player on massive wages, where is the motivation to succeed?.
Average wages and massive win bonuses sounds good to me.
Give them something worth busting a gut to go for a win every game.

1000 a week and if they get us up they can have the rest

Blackpool players were on very small wages (compared with us) but offerred a £5m squad pot bonus if they got promoted. Incentives have to be the way forward.

It worked for Swansea,with the wages they payed their players and manager,this season.

Players truning up for 15 to 20 grand a week, in my opinion have little or no motivation.
that kind of money is more than people earn in a bloody year.
They live the superstar lifestyle on that money and don't need to bust a gut to get it.
Also add in a lack of professionalism and no self disciplin, as we saw this season, and we all know what the outcome was.
The big time charlies let us down badly, coupled with a manager, who,
had no plan B,
too pig headed to admit he was wrong,
signed too many dodgy players,
continued using players that were obviously out of their depth far too long,
refused to address our dodgy defence which all of us could see was shite,
failed to disciplin the pisshead players,
was more concerned with his spiteful attitude towards the journalists....................................
The list goes on, feel free to add some more.
