funny that as a mate of mine said hes seen him today at ......who knows maybe he,ll be helped by bellers doing some coaching....just hope we get someone in quick so we can get on with players in and out...needs to be done...and hoefully some experience

what experience in moulding a brand new team and wheeling and dealing at championship level does he have? Inherited a very strong TOON squad and got them up easily but soon came straight back to earth when the pressure came on at Prem level. Dont lets overestimate the simple fact that our expectations are huge too, and that supporters will want to see results quickly. DJ raised the bar for us with the budgets the Malaysians provided and shrewd player choices. DJ defo got an eye for errant footballers and got their creers back on track.
How many of you all will settle just for play offs again, thats the bare minimum requirement now

Hughton was doing a good job at Newcastle when he got the boot!!

They had thrashed Sunderland, beat ARSENAL, Everton and West Ham away..
The players PERFORMED for him. Admittedly they were too good for the
championship, but he had them doing the business in the Premiership too...

Hughton has a point to prove, his wage 'demands' would seem to underline that!!

My memory of his Newcastle side was at the CCS when they outclassed us.

He saw we were a bit weak in midfield and Alan Smith ran the show, Alan Smith...striker!!

I'd love Hughton to come here. A lot happier than getting Allardyce or Billy Davies. He had good players at Newcastle but they walked this league and in many games they went ahead and just closed the game out. I could do with a season of that.
