A forum for all things Cardiff City

I just posted this guys Twitter on the Ashley Williams thread.
He's a journo for Welsh & national papers but I've just noticed a bit down his feed this interesting tweet;
The odds on Alan Shearer becoming Cardiff manager have dropped dramatically. Now third favourite behind Mackay and HughtonSorry if already mentioned but had a quick scan & didn't see it.
Any ITK's deny or confirm this?
Bad decision if true.

Its bullshit Stan.
Shearer and bellamy dont get on, bellamy is very close to signing a 2 year deal.
from what i have heard its down to 3.

Hughton
Mackay
I dont really have a preference, any of them are better than the last fuckwit
football is a funny old game, but id be truely amazed, save your pennies!!

Not a gambler mate would rather spend it on a bag of glue
Didn't Bellamy ring Shearer a while back & c**t him right off on his voice mail?
Where is this coming from? The guy seems like he talks a bit of sense but this is a weird one.

True that Bellamy and Shearer don't get on, so I can't see Shearer coming here. Love your avatar James!!

This thread was from last Wednesday 8th June.
Better keep an eye out for this guys Twitter he's obviously on the ball.
For what its worth.
Awful decision. 8 managerial games under his belt?
Expect one of 2 things;
1) Shit season which I predict with Shearer in charge
2)Awful run / start & Shearer sacked by November & the search starts again.
I'm stunned. Very bad choice.
Tue Jun 14, 2011 9:28 pm
Wow, at last some common sense and it comes from a bloody QPR fan.
Its a shocking decision to sign him up. He lacks experience or the ability to turn a team around and inject new belief and at the present time we need a manager with one of those traits. Not a media panel bum.

Alright calm down. You're not even a City fan !

Why do I need to calm down, do you think I'm hopping mad about the decision?
Its called an opinion & that's my take on it. I presume you are happy then? Good on you think you'll be in the very small minority who are.
Your club needed a strong established leader to guide you through what willl be a tough season next year & what did you get?
A football pundit who has managed a grand total of 8 games & has a relegation on his CV! Very impressive!!!

Stan
Dont take it personally its called shock
I just woke up and spilt my tea when i read this "news"; with the expectation back home this is shocking, i just hope it isnt true
Not sure he even has his coaching badge?
at least we might get on MOTD
Tue Jun 14, 2011 11:09 pm
I can fully imagine you are in shock mate its a bizarre decision imo.
Why????? Surely not for commercial reasons? You need to have a successful football team to make the commercial side work & I really can't see that happening with A.S. at the helm.
What was it that was said 22 candidates for the job & you get Shearer? Unbelievable.
Hope for your sake this doesn't happen mate. You deserve a good man in charge this is way out of Shearer's depth. People will say give him a chance but seriously he shouldn't be anywhere near that job.

Really ? May I direct you to this link:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49545And regarding getting Newcastle relegated - well let's be honest officially it was him who took them down but at the time that club was a f*cking shambles and they were heading in the wrong direction long before he arrived.
Strong established leader - fair enough, someone who would instill more discipline than DJ. I actually think he will do that strangely
I'm not "hopping mad about the decision" either - I wanted Mackay myself but there we go we'll just have to get on with it.
