No, they're hoping to make a killing now AND get promotion too.

As we've seen under Jones, there's no guarantee of promotion. No manager can claim that, though I suspect a larger number would have got us up by now.

Marketing in Malaysia with a big name, on the other hand, gives less reward - although give the popularity of football in the region, long term, not necessarily outside the reach that the figures may march - but with far less risk.

Malaysians could invest 30m in players, we stay down. Invest a fraction of that in marketing in the region, they'll make guaranteed money.
