Interesting that Sky are still saying that Shearer ........

has held talks with Cardiff on Sky News and Sky Sports News, but the breaking news banner is saying the talks have broken down.
Does this mean that maybe talks are still up in the air between Shearer and Cardiff, does this Mean the board are keeping there options open but Shearer is still an option ? And would Shearer really release a statement as late as the early hours of wednesday morning to say talks have broken down ?
I find all this very confusing.. And I still have a gut feeling Shearer is in the mix as much as all the front runners.

I may be wrong but sky news and sky sports new, infact nearly all news channels are on a loop through the night unless anything major happens like a big death etc.
they just update the breaking news yellow bars until sunrise. so id go with the breaking news bit.
