I don't think that's important either way, it could be that the board wouldn't meet his salary demands after all he's only got a little bit more experience of professional football management than you or I.

personally for the reported £1mil wages and £1mil promotion bonus exactly what would Shearer bring to City , he's an inexperienced manager with no track record and Im surprized he was ever considered let alone interviewed .
