Yes mate I went there twice in 90's, lost 2-1 and got soaked (possibly Blake scored?) and the other time we won a great game 3-2 on a hot day with Winston Faerber scoring a debut goal! :ayatollah:

Yep, Boxing day years ago. Robbed till in pub town centre before game (not proud of it - young and pissed) remember lots going off with police after game and people being crushed. Think we lost heavily but good turn out and a good day as I remember, absolute shit hole of a ground tho :ayatollah:

mini-riot there once when Maxwell's car got tipped over, cardiff rampaging around the town most of the day...people swinging on a chandelier in a pub another time...Frankie and acouple of others getting escorted out of their end with all the away fans singing 'we all agree, frankie is harder than oxford'...and the last time we played them loads of trouble as soon as about 40 of us got of the train to a welcoming commitee who didn't hang around long,on the same day a couple of guys from i think port talbot got split up from the rest of us and one of them had his teeth knocked out...so yeah a nice family day out awaits...

They brought a decent mob down here in the 90's, they got in the Phillarmonic early, then made their way to the Borough...they thought they were the kiddies before the game, but they got terrorised when they got escorted past the Ninian and by the ground....we returned the compliment at the away game, it pissed down all day, can't remember the score, but we went up by coach and came back in a Rhondda Tool and van hire Transit..said van bumped into Oxford's full firm after the game, us trying to get out, back doors flew open, then a Police van decided to shunt us up the arse to keep us all inside it

the look of terror when they passed the ninian was funny as f**k, to be fair they were mainly youngsters and the early 90's was when a lot of our older lot had made a come back
the away game 8 of us went up in an escort van, we got lost arrived half time and got asked to leave swindon later on in the night
they were happy days :ayatollah:

I was at the 3-2 game, didn't Kevin Nugent score our other 2 goals that day ? Always remember the away end an open crumbling terrace, the Manor Ground was an absolute shithole :old: :ayatollah:

Remember going up there plenty of times in the early 70's, always plenty of action off the pitch as we always went in the home end. Long walk to the ground as well from the train station, remember on one occasion 100's of City fans going into Woolies in the town centre and coming out with women's wigs on, wouldn't be tolerated now but good fun to see at the time.

One occasion was particularly sad though as a good friend of mine was involved in a car crash and his son was killed, don't think he ever went to a football match ever again.

I was at that game, and in woolies.a few hundred cardiff fans took the place apart and it was bloody miles to the ground and no one would serve us in the pubs, that made it worse,we had to get cider from an off sales.the coppers were going everywhere as after the woolies episode, fans were running in four different directions, lol. When we eventually found the groud all the cardiff fans were on there end.they were just runningiinto there supporters .getting beaten back by police and then starting again. Bodies everywhere, and we lost I think ,anyway there were 1000,s of City there thatday,we had more of us than the whole of there support....f*cking mad day that was but fun.1969 IT WAS.
