Signings

Today during his interview on Cardiff City world Malky said that new owners were due at Watford in January and he had built up a wish list of targets...the take over was not as expected and he had to put the targets on hold...he probably had a new set of cheaper options in mind if he stayed at Watford...however there is every possibility that he will go back after some of the original players he had in mind.

There are also loads of quality free transfers available from the Premiership and we know they would want lots of wages, but he also said today that they were trying to establish a structure at the club...not sure if he meant a sensible wage structure?

I would presume it would be a wage structure, because last season Gethin Jenkins said, they're trying to get the club on a sound financial platform and get rid of the un-necessary spending. Why pay 15k a week for one player, where you can potentially get about 2-3 players for that wage.

Impressed with what Malky said.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Craig Conway, Kevin Phillips or Craig Forsyth here.

I'd like to see one of Leon Best, Jason Roberts, JohnCarew, Jay Bothroyd, David Nugent in as main striker/target man.

earnie would be nice but priority has to be replacing Jay with something almost as good, who is perhaps more physical. Jay himself would be great.

Then an aggressive midfielder who plays simple football and goes bow to box. Lee Bowyer fis the bill.
A ball player alongside him to fight it out with McPhail -Brian Stock maybe, or Woods from Donny.

Reo-Coker would be nice, and a proven right winger with pace.

Whittingham should be allowed to go back on the left and play the free role he had season befor elast when he was so successful.

Get in a quality left back, to allow Kev to fight it out with Quinn and we are pretty much there. Or a quality right back..Marriappa maybe
Gabbidon maybe, he can cover CH and play LB ?

Heaton
McNaughton
Hudson
Gerrard
New LB/RB Marriappa/Gabbidon ??

Whittingham
Stock
Bowyer
Reo-Coker (ream on) -or another right winger.. Kebe

Bellamy
Best/Nugent/Bothroyd/Roberts/Kamara/Carew...

Bench

Marshall Quinn Keinan Blake McPhail Earnie Parkin

What do you reckon

Just call me Jones.

No joking.. Reo-Coker can play Right midfield and Right Back as well. Players who can play more than 1 position will be handy. He could slot in in the middle if one of the others was injured.
Here's a good article on him.

Think he's off to Newcastle anyway. :(
