Bit before my time but have heard stories about them whilst on my travels to away games , what i remember about them from the stories is that they wear heavy f*cking things

yeh i remember them, actually a work coat for site boys
personally i thought it was wrong to kill donkeys just to keep a brickie warm

For what its worth don't no why you ask but yea I used to wear them on site not the best coat but was good in its time.
If you got it wet it was heavy as f**k.

Believe it or not they were quite fashionable at one time 
especially the pin striped ones.

I'm sure I remember Hereford fans wearing them in the 90's When steve white scored 3 goals for us (I think) ,we signed him from Hereford

yes they were stiff as hell ,no good for a ruck as u couldnt throw a punch,more of a strait jacket than a coat

Yes and white hard hats with CCFC painted in blue on the front, steel toe cap boots and even white bib and brace during the clockwork orange days, and the obligatory scarf tied around your wrist, happy days, but f**k me we must have all looked a sight.
