I'd go for Adam Le Fondre and Charlie Austin.

I'd see what I could find in Noway, Finland etc.
The Dutch and French go there and then sell them on for big bucks to the big clubs.

Charlie Austin plays for Burnley doesn't he? And Leicester, Forest and Reading have been scouting Le Fondre

Who are all free agents
McFadden perhaps, but I'd have to wonder how we'd afford the other two? And I'd also have to wonder whether or not they'd just be more overpaid jobsworths.
Ched Evans is a massive no go as he'd frequent the KFC by the ground all the time.
Leon Best has done nothing. Ever.
It depends which way you want to go really.
I can see no reason not to bring Earnie back.
But otherwise there isn't really a dearth of cheap talent out there. It'll either be the same routine of spend big and hope it works and hope the players don't just take it for granted and go out on the piss all the time, or spend not a lot and hope they all turn out like Rog, Chops the first time and SuperKev(with passing ability too)

Signed for Hibs thankfully!
Colin McDonald 22 goals in 53 games when he rolled up at a good team. Half of his career goals in 2 seasons.

Le Fondre has been on the lower league scene for a good while now and no-one has taken the chance. Austin signed for Burnley in January and only played 4 times since with no goal return so hardly setting the world alight is he
The only reason Austin only played four games was because he got injured and missed the rest of the season

I'm shocked nobody has mentioned Darius Henderson yet. If we had 2 strikers with pace (Earnie and Bellamy) and 2 target men (Parkin and Henderson), we would be alright I think. Would love Leon Best as well mind, he showed last season what a quality striker he is in the Premiership. Benjani and Kamara on frees would be worth a look too, plenty of options out there.
