Good goal, let's hope he can get a few for us too. What's the song the DU fans are singing? It starts just before 60 seconds into the video clip.

Yep. The United fans chant the chorus. Have done for as long as I recall.

At Hampden they play the teams "signature!" song when they've scored a goal.

I'm not into that kind of thing myself. The goal alone should inject some atmosphere into the place without the need for some music. Suppose it depends on the song.

Daniel Boone (born Peter Lee Stirling, 31 July 1942, Birmingham, England) is an English pop musician who became a one-hit wonder in the U.S. with the single "Beautiful Sunday" in 1972. The song was written by Boone and Rod McQueen and racked up a million in sales worldwide. It peaked at No. 15 on The Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the summer of 1972, and at No. 21 on the UK Singles Chart earlier that same year. In 1972, Boone was the recipient of the "Most Likeable Singer" award from Rolling Stone magazine.

"Beautiful Sunday" remains the biggest selling single by an international artist on the Japanese Oricon chart.

That's the one buddy! A proper blast for the past. Thought I recognised the tune in the Conway video clip but couldn't place the song. Fair play the Dundee Utd fans give it a good old blast. I presume they change the lyrics a bit though?

Cracking video

To be honest, I don't think they do change the lyrics mate.

Think like a lot of clubs, that is just one of "their" songs. Most clubs do/did seem to have one.

Up here Rangers had Simply The Best and recently adopted Penny Arcade, Celtic have taken on Just Can't Get Enough. Clydebank have Little Ole Wine Drinker. United have those two. Was in a nightclub in Dundee about 12 years ago and the DJ put that on - half the place started singing and the next thing it all kicked off
