£1m release clause that doesn't actually release a player from their contract, what is the point in that?

Yet another example of Hew The Spew doing things his own way Swansea will have to sell if a £1m buy out clause exists and it's as simple as that.
The Jacks paid Wrexham £150k for this player with a 10% on any sell on profit going to Wrexham and if they thought the player was worth £10m then that should have been the sell on trigger. The thing is the player would not hae signed the contract if a £10m sell on clause was included so only one winner here Neil Taylor, although Swansea will see a £750k profit and Wrexham a further £85k which will help them.
