Why do I get my hopes up?

I am big enough, old enough and certainly ugly enough! to have read/heard transfer rumours everywhere-radio, tv, papers and message boards many,many times before. 99% of the time the rumours come to nothing.

So....................why the hell do I still get excited when the rumours gather pace???? and, more worryingly, why the hell do I feel disappointed when nothing happens!?????

this forum depresses me. false hope the real rumours are bad enough, but the made up ones.....

Remember how the Alan Lee transfer went on for ages as did Graham Kavanagh's too ? Off and on and haggling over transfer fees etc !
