First Post: Wales V Australia

Who's idea was it for Wales to play Australia at the CCS the same night we are away in the League Cup to Oxford? The FAW haven't got a clue.

At least they didn't arrange it for the night of a home game.

FAW don't pick the international dates, they are allocated and you have to make the most of them, especially when rebuilding. The SFA are just as bad at times.

Same happened last year, when we played Burton Albion at home, and Wales played in Llanelli, and we still had a bigger crowd at our game than the Wales game.

It's always made me wonder, in the days of club v country battles in releasing players, why the authorities schedule friendly dates so soon after most of the big nations seasons have just started. They must have some inkling there will be some sort of argument between the clubs and countries

Rather go to Oxford to be honest

Not normally interested in International Football but having a foot in both camps this one will be interesting to watch for me. Hopefully Wales can win to avoid piss taking over here although I think Australia will be stronger if they put out a full team. They looked pretty good under the new manager and beat Germany in a recent friendly.

It seems like everyone in the FAW is on drugs, not only do they come up with the idea of having the game on the same day as Carling Cup fixtures but someone in their marketing department comes up with this cracker of an idea for advertising the game....
