My comp says I need to renew. Anyone know what I need to take out ( there's many options)? Or even a cheat to save me money?

Yeah... take out the lot of it... Uninstall it, and put AVG on your machine instead... and the best part... AVG is completely FREE

Get Microsoft Security Essentials!
It's free of the Microsoft website and is really good. I have had no problems with it.

Would recommend Microsoft Essentials
http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx especially if ur computer is not partuclarly new.
Word of warning though - your copy of windows needs to be legitimate (not pirate) otherwise it won't let you use it.
Make sure you uninstall Norton BEFORE installing any replacement.

^^^ This. (AVG is very resource hungry by the way)

AVAST - free + will not slow your system down.

Great advice thanks. Is the basic free avast decent enough for Internet banking etc?

If you're into internet banking then your bank is probably offering you free AV services in any case and independent security systems.
I've been using Avast for years and never had a problem with it with internet banking. It takes up very few resources to operate, much less than AVG.
