With a new manager in and a fresh approach I can definitely see Parkin being given a chance this coming season by Malky and he certainly looks very involved from the training pictures so far

I was thinking of this i really hope Parkin gets his fair share of first team this year instead of being stuck on the bench did a g8 job for Preston so lets hope his form becomes even better

im sure he is a nice guy, but i wouldnt be disappointed if he left... his touch last season was cringeworthy at times ...

he looked really clumsy on the ball, getting stuck under his feet etc...

sorry, id pay to hire an eddie stobbart and drive him there myself if an offer came in....

He needs to be given a chance under Malky, don't think Jonesy knew how to motivate players to get the best out of them, big bruising centre forwards will always have a part to play in football.

it will be interesting to see what Parkin is like with a new manager, and a full pre season with us. I have to say that at times last season he was embarassing and looked out of his depth as a professional footballer, let alone one in the championship. His touch and hold up play was abysmal at times but he certainly looked good for Preston so im hoping he can find some form for us now!

Parkin needs to be given a fair chance, something he did not get under Dave Jones. He was a very useful player at Preston and with the right motivation I think he can be for us.

I think Parkin could be a real asset, especially getting on the end of Gunnarssons long throws,
BUT if we can get Ched Evans for 300k plus him, id definatly go for that. I think in the right team Ched could be a excellent player, lets not forget hes only 22 and teams rated him at 3 mill only a couple of years ago

Did you actually see us against preston at home last season?He played with our defence all game.Given a run in the team will get him to that sort of form again,dave jones wouldn't drop the floor hugger to give him a game last year
