He's got a combo of first and second team players who will play in each half. The starting team obviously isn't the first team.

I know what you're saying, it is a mix. Strange why managers do that though, specially with new players involved. You'd think he want the 1st XI playing together?

It would be silly to swap a strong team for a weak team at half tim, it's about consistency (and it's only the the first friendly AND Charlton after all!)
