These photos is how i will remember Jay, what a waste of talented player. He could have been a legend for us..

As much as DJ got the best out of him they both got too cosy and Jay stopped fighting for his place. For that I blame DJ

Yeah he was a great goalscorer but look at this way:

Three events

he got called up to england played as a sub
he came back and had a very poor half season
he left cardiff then tried to come back on more money because no one else would take him.

I know which way i'll remember him, i won't respect him.

We don't know 100% he tried to come back
DJ should have "managed" him better on his return. He got big headed and knew he would always start and play

His second half was poor

Most people loved it when Cardiff had a player called up. Didn't do the club any bad

Yeah DJ should have managed him better but bothroyd took that mentality and let it get the better of him.
As much as DJ was a poor man manager bothroyd had an over-inflated ego even without his cap.

i would have loved jay to re sign for us the guy was quality one of the most talented players ever to wear a city shirt most of his time with us he was superb the few months weren't but every player has spells like that in their career just remember the good times

Brilliant Jon, I heard he has his arse more insured than his leg.

i'll never forget jay for some of his great performances and goals for us, but yeah he should never have underperformed in the second half of last season.
