Just popped up on Cardiff Player that allocation is 1250.
Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:34 am

It says" An agreement with the Met Polivce and the WHU/SAG that ensures access for 1,250 away fans"
Hope this helps

For respectable (well kinda
) exiles like yourself mate there is a line that says there will be tickets available for you guys to go direct but you'll be in the upper tier.

Cheers Haydn, just read the link and I'm quite happy with all of this. I would like to see a bigger allocation though but I suppose the Met/SAG need to save face somehow.

Cant wait for West Ham now, will be a brilliant trip.
Never been to Upton Park either.

is a protest still going to happen then. as much as i want to go to upton park id prefer to protest against bubbles if it would help us for the future.

agreed, a boycott is the sensible option, it's a shame as was looking forward to it, but will be a shit day out now

I think in the circumstances it was the best deal we could broker although it will feel the same as a bubble trip to all those on coaches, however 200 exiles and disabled fans will now be able to attend the game without travelling by coach, these fans will be in the upper tier and be kept behind after the game for a short period of time...all West Ham fans including season ticket holders have been moved away from the area....so you can see how careful and over concerned the match commander is being...its a small victory but many will not see it that way...I am satisfied that it is the best we could achieve for this particular game and also that the club are determined to move away from Bubble games altogether.
I have just left a meeting with Wayne Nash and gone through it all again and the alternative would have been no fans going at all, there is a saying in life that you can't please everyone and this is true in this case...and in my opinion these restrictions are way to harsh but I also believe we did the best we could for the 1200 odd that can now travel.

boycott would have been better, 200 exile tickets will have already dissapeared, they are always as rare as gold dust.

Completely agree mate, it's a small victory, but a victory all the same . Years ago, the club didn't support us when we said that bubble trips were wrong, but this proves they are now on our side and are working towards what we all want and deserve.

Agreed, taking the piss out of us.

yes this particular match commander has gone way over the top, even moved West Ham season ticket holders away from their regular seats, hopefully his bosses will get rid of him, he has faced a lot of stick from the league, and other police agencies, but at the end of the day he has the final say...anything that goes wrong would be his responsibility and he has taking way too many precautions and wrong decisions

I hope that West Ham are going to get the same treatment on the return match!

i dont. would u rather they had no fans here or some fans to try and create and atmosphere with trying to sing louder than them. If we did that too it would show our club and police bein just as bad.
The fans who do go to the away game should make a flag saying "wer're forever getting bubbles" or something like that even change the lyrics to bubbles to all about bubble trips and sing it at the game.

Good point!... good idea

Im not going.
Its too much hassle and a further showing of the establishments in this country needing to tip toe around and get the red tape out. Its absurd.
What next? A police riot van or prison bus picks you up from the stadium and escorts you directly to the away end? Things are certainly heading that way in this country.
Fri Jul 22, 2011 6:16 pm
I really wish we'd boycotted it all together
Cost West ham about 50k in lost revenue, they'll kick off with the
police. Then insist their supporters pick up their tickets at 9am
for the Cardiff game, at Membury services. All 1000 of them. The
Club are doing their bit now fair play but its time the police's over
the top methods were met with an over the top response. All it
is, is a little friendly nod to his officers... plenty of overtime on
Saturday if you want it, West Ham will be paying and you can let
off some steam
f**k him, and f**k West Ham

I usually travel with turners or Andies bus from aberdare/mountain ash does that mean they can't do buses for this one and we have to travel on official coaches not independent ones

Cheers mate, that's bollocks

This is bullshit tbh. It's just a tarted up bubble...agree it's good for the exiles but it should have been boycotted. Cardiff are the most bubbled team in the UK and until something is done about it then it will continue. I'm not exactly sure what that is but boycotts and protests seem to be the best option. Doing this on a live game first game of the season would have gained headlines and alerted people. We'll just keep on getting fuked about. I refuse to go on bubbles. I'm a train traveller and I have done voucher exchanges where I have got the train in then had to get a taxi to the ticket exchange meet but it's just a ballache. We need to take a stand.
Fri Jul 22, 2011 9:53 pm
Of course you can travel on the normal coaches Turner is part of the travel club, or Dibs, Ketty has a coach going...

Id love us all to just turn round and say 'no mas'
Perhaps two token supporters with a huge banner
"CARDIFF CITY - MORE RESTRICTIONS THAN HATE PREACHERS - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Yep each to their own but I am disappointed people are getting excited about going. It'll just keep happening. When the full boycott was talked about I thought it was the way forward. Bring attention to how we are fucked about plus costing the people involved in making the decision money. It would make it easier to take if the other poss flare up games at Upton Park were bubbled as well but it's just Cardiff. We get shit on every f*cking time and keep on accepting it.

Turner has done other bubbles and this is voucher exchange so shouldn’t be a problem.
Let me know what you’re doing going or not?
