I find it amazing ervyone saying Amy Winehouse is getting more coverage blah blah blah than Norway! She's not!!! Despite the Norway atrocity happening the day before Winehouse died it was still on the front page of almost every newspaper today and is still leading the news! Some of the stuff ive read on Facebook and Twitter concerning her death is an absolute joke. Of Course Norway is a massive tragedy, and is rightly a massive story, but why aernt people allowed to also mourn the death of a supremely talented individual who fell victim to a horrendous disease?

All the part time moralists come out of the woodwork when something like this happens, and its a shame they let their egos overshadow the fact that someone that many people loved, died tragically. If people who like her music have half as much a connection with her music as I do with other artists, then I can only imagine how shattered they must be.

i agree a very talented woman who had plenty of chances to get herself right but clearly the drugs got the better of her just makes you think theres people who havent had the help shes had and are still struggling to overcome theyre addiction but havent got the people or money to help themselves

Norwegians died, through the actions of another.
Somalians die, through the actions of another.
Winehouse died through her own actions.

A hypocrite would be the person trying to morally equate all three scenarios, and preachily moralising who people should / shouldn't mourn... I'd say the hypocrites are those mourning who avidly read the tabloids for her latest drink / drug exploits... at least some of us are morally consistent on the issue.

What a lot of people are forgetting is that Amy Winehouse was a once in a generation artist and the world has been deprived of the opportunity to watch her flourish! How many British artists in the last 20 years have had international success like her? She wasn't a talentless no body like Jordan, Kerry Katona or Jade Goody! I mourn any loss of great creative talent as they are few and far between. Unfortunately it seems that the most talented are those who are also the most afflicted!

Regardless of her personal life.....she was a very very talented 27 year old woman who died too young. And we'll never see her full potential which is sad.

I hope he ex husband is blaming himself. He was the cause of many of her demons.
