Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson is prepared to sell striker Ched Evans for less than their valuation of £1.5m.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Championship sides Ipswich, Cardiff and Middlesbrough.
The Wales international has scored 13 goals in 50 appearances since joining the Blades, who have been relegated to League One, for £3m in July 2009.
Wilson told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It's no secret he needs to go off the wage bill, that was mooted before I came."

He's just a younger, slightly more shit version of Jon Parkin in my opinion. Living off past form and hasn't progressed as anyone would have liked.

It doesn't matter how much they want for him, we don't need him

I dont get this obsession with Evans that some have. He had a good season with Norwich and has done nothing since. Not good enough imo.

Unless he is on a free and more than halfs his wages then IMO he isn't an option.
