I used to live just round the corner from it.
My old man used to say I'd end up there, at least I'd have been able to see my bike again, robbing fuckers some of em!

I used to go to swimming lessons there in about 1979. It was mixed but we all had to change on the side of the pool as there was no changing rooms from what I remember. Girls one side, boys the other. Whether you put a towel round you was immaterial, you just got changed into and out of your trunks on the side. It was the 70's though, more liberal attitude. I can't imagine that happening these days though

It must have been a very difficult time for you. I sincerely hope that the passage of time has healed things.
