i know it only a friendly and one match but what standered would you say Parma were IE: strong championship or premiership or lower.

European leagues are odd. The top few teams could easily contest for the Prem title, but as you move down (in the same league) it swiftly drops to sometimes average Championship level. Imagine if Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal were in the Champ, and that's kind of how it is.

Parma are probably on a par with Villa/Newcastle or below (although it's hard to compare really).
