The Echo are running a full report on it today, however it would be good if anyone from here who attended could write up a piece from a fans perspective :ayatollah:

I have typed up some notes that may capture the bulk of what was said. Apologies if I missed anything out.

The panel consisted of Malky, Earnshaw, David Kerslake, Gethin, Hudson and ex ref Keith Cooper plus one other member of the backroom staff who's name I didn't catch.
In the main, the meeting was well run with some good searching questions from the audience who were free to ask whatever they wished in an open atmosphere which was not stage managed.
There was one or two humorous questions that raised a laugh such as when someone asked Malky " what would it be like to take the first Scottish team into the premiership" and about him doing the Ayatollah.
There were one or two questions in relation to Craig Bellamy but Malky would not be drawn and referred to his stock response which was that Bellamy was a Man City player and that it would be inappropriate to discuss another clubs player as he would not like other managers to discuss his players.
Message boards was an issue raised and Malky took the opportunity of condemning the recent false rumors circulating on the message boards relating to the Stephen Mc Phail cancer story. This response was well received by the audience.
Malky also went on to state the dangers of message boards and the damage they can do to a club and gave an example of how fans were going up the Vale hotel and reporting to the message boards who the back 4 were who were working with Malky.
Malky gave a further insight into these dangers and admitted that whilst at Watford he was aware that the club did have individuals searching opponents club message boards and reporting some tactical details back. Whilst on this theme, Malky took the opportunity of stating that he welcomed fans wishing to come to the Vale Hotel to watch training but would appreciate if they left by around 11am because their presence might be a distraction.
The question of the players relationship with the fans was raised and Hudson answered fans by stating that he was unaware there was a real problem but apologised if there was an issue.
The worth of loan players was raised and Malky stated that any loan player considered had to be right for the club and would question why the player wished to leave his old club and investigate any issues surrounding this.
The Issue of a relationship with the local press was raised and Malky stated that he had a good relationship with the local press whilst at Watford but any relationship was a trust thing and there was need of transparency when reporting facts.
A question was asked in relation to who were the faces behind Langstone and Gethin replied that he did not know who these individuals were because they hid behind the confidentiality of their solicitors.
Player discipline was raised and Malky's response was that he did not like it when players gave away cheap yellow cards for verbal indiscretions as he would rather they earned the card for kicking the opposition. This raised the biggest laugh of the night.
In a response to a question, Gethin stated that the club had now purchased special lights for the pitch to help with the grass and would expect the playing surface to be better as a result.
It was suggested from the audience that Cardiff Blues were responsible for the state of the pitch which lead onto the relationship between the club and the Blues. Gethin stated that sharing with Cardiff Blues gives us an opportunity of more revenue due to marketing etc. which would be difficult to achieve from just relying on the football home games
The Malaysian investment was raised and Gethin who responded by thanking them and stating that the Malaysians were looking to run the club within budget and reduce the club debt.
Malky was asked about the possibility of reserve team football at the club and replied by stating that “no” it won't be happening.
Another question was raised from the audience in relation to the academy and Malky agreed that the academy was important as the young players brought through the ranks had a special identity with the club but they had to be managed correctly.
In response to a question regarding the atmosphere and mood in the camp, Hudson responded by stating that the mood in the dressing room was better than ever and both Hudson and Earnie agreed that the training was going well with a high tempo approach.
Although not promising to win automatic promotion, Malky gave the commitment that the team would obviously lose some matches but it would not be down to the lack of belief or commitment. Both Malky and Gethin stated their positive ambitions for the club and expected to be amongst several clubs in the mix for promotion.

The actual meeting is now being shown on the club's official website in 20 minute sections.

I went along and it was a brilliant and honest night.
