Good performance from CCFC 2nd string.
Was really impressed with Alex Evans at the back and young Ibby Farah in midfield. Jarvis took his goal well.
In fairness the whole team worked hard and showed good fitness levels. Whittingham when he came on ran the show. Conways goal was a scrambled affair and Parkin should have added a 2nd but headed over from 6 yards. Oxfords equaliser should never had stood as there was an offside in the build up. Farah hit the bar with a shot from edge of the box.
2nd half we had the ball over the line but the lino missed it!
Extra time came and ccfc were fairly dominant. Whitts scored a great goal from the edge of the box. Oxford pressed for an equaliser but had no real chances. Then with 2 minutes of added time left a long ball was played the Oxford defender missed it and jarvis headed over the Oxford keeper. 3-1 game set and match......
At the end the 800 or so CCFC fans rose to the players who all came over to milk the deserved applause. Our support was vocal throughout and it was great giving Duberry some real stick (again).
An enjoyable evening for me and the 2 boys. Good to meet Paul the Bankie and Claire from the board.
