The Brizzle's warning to the Mighty Bluebirds

Sat Aug 13, 2011 8:45 am

Theyre coming to our place to win...I wouldnt expect anything else (from the Echo):

BRISTOL City insist they are coming to Cardiff City Stadium for the Severnside derby tomorrow believing they will win.

“We made three errors against Ipswich Town and handed them a 3-0 win, but that won’t happen again,” said defender Jordan Spence.

“We are confident if we played Ipswich again it would be a far different result – and we intent to show that against Cardiff.

“We know all about Cardiff City and they did well at West Ham. They have two outstanding goalscorers in Kenny Miller and Robert Earnshaw, but they have had to regroup under a new manager and we feel confident.”

Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce will be running at right-back Kevin McNaughton, while Ghanaian wide man Albert Adomah will be working to give Cardiff’s Andrew Taylor a hard time on the other side.

And Campbell-Ryce says: “The atmosphere will be good and hostile, but we are used to that.

“We owe it to ourselves and the fans to put our defeat against Ipswich Town behind us.

“Cardiff were flying last season and we did well to quieten them down at their ground. They are slightly weakened since then, having lost a lot of top players. We have to go in and make sure we take three points.”

Bristol City led 2-0 at Cardiff City Stadium last season, but the Bluebirds fought back to win 3-2.

If they keep David James in goal, they stand even less of a chance

At Ashton Gate they did a complete job on Naylor. Their wingers were on fire that day, even Super Kev had troube tracking back.
