The criteria will be managers that have achieved something in their time in football that still have a long time in the game so that they can work with the club long term.

Rogers hasn't achieved anything yet, if he can take Swansea to Europe on merit rather than fair play within a year then I'd say he'd be a good candidate.

He was never a big name himself, struggled at the start of his man utd career but he grew. Malky will grow

Hes taken an average Watford side to mid table, and Cardiff City to 3rd good achievements to date, not quite the scale united may be looking for though.

And remember football fans are fickle, if or more likely when we have a rough patch of say 2 wins in 10 and people will question him.
